Workers at Bimbo Bakehouse in Toronto, Ontario, Canada voted overwhelmingly in favour of joining the BCTGM Union on February 19, 2026. In a facility with 109 workers, over 80 employees cast a ballot, and a strong majority, 91%, voted to join the BCTGM Local 264 family.

This all-out drive was concluded in three weeks by Bill Hegedus, Local 264 Business Agent, Leann Presley, Local 264 Office Admin, Karl Walker, BCTGM Organizer, and Ron Piercey, BCTGM Canadian Vice-President.

The Bimbo Bakehouse facility in the west end of Toronto, produces a selection of pastries, breads, and other sweet treats by using traditional techniques and quality ingredients.
