The 2025 David B. Durkee Memorial Scholarship Program will grant five $5,000 one-time scholarship awards per year.

The program is open to members of the BCTGM and the children of union members. All of whom must meet eligibility requirements established by the BCTGM International GEB, as well as the Rules and Procedures which are approved by the GEB. Members’ children who are currently attending college or have previously attended college are not eligible to apply.

Members who are currently attending college, or who have been away from school for a while, may apply either to continue, resume or work on a college degree.

Rules and Regulations

*School is defined as accredited college, recognized technical or vocational post-secondary school.

Application Process

1. Fill out the Scholarship Application for Members
2. Fill out the Personal Profile
3. Complete the Essay (see details in Rules)
4. Mail or email completed forms to BCTGM International Union Office by March 15, 2025, application cannot be accepted after this date.

for CHILD of BCTGM Member

1. Fill out the Scholarship Application for Member’s Child
2. Fill out the Personal Profile
3. Have school administrator fill out Academic Profile
4. Complete the Essay (see details in Rules)
5. Mail or email completed forms to BCTGM International Union Office by March 15, 2025, application cannot be accepted after this date.
